An "adverse result", according to Title 18, Section 2705 of the U.S. Code, is any of the following:

• endangering the life or physical safety of an individual
• flight from prosecution
• destruction of or tampering with evidence
• Intimidation of potential witnesses
• otherwise seriously jeopardizing an investigation or unduly delaying a trial
